Disrupting the access control market, Actatek, along with its sister company Jakin ID, brought a sustainable SaaS model (Software as a Service for multiple management purposes, onboarded directly to its hardware) to empower streamlined installation at sites, reducing carbon emissions and round-the-clock monitoring.
The disruption has landed Actatek a pivotal contract to provide their state-of-the-art Access Control Solution for NEOM, the groundbreaking mega smart city project on the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia.
The first shipment of 1,600 Biometric Door Lock Solution is now being installed across 1,600 prefab units in NEOM, with thousands more to follow in subsequent shipments. The solution contributed to NEOM’s smart vision of sustainability and NetZero 2050 goals, offering streamlined installation and integrated management to NEOM’s systems with reduced carbon emissions. While it offers round-the-clock access control and monitoring, the deployment is underpinned by Actatek’s state-of-the-art hardware, renowned for its robust design, efficient hardware management, and sustainability-driven modularity. This is seamlessly integrated with JakinID’s robust, user-friendly, and scalable Access Management System (AMS) platform, which offers advanced functionality for time attendance, shift management, payroll processing, and project management. Together, these features enable comprehensive all-in-one site management capabilities, empowering NEOM with efficient and integrated solutions to meet its operational demands. The successful implementation of this advanced ecosystem has led to further deployments across NEOM, solidifying the effectiveness and innovation of the combined technologies.
NEOM, located in northwest Saudi Arabia, is envisioned as a global hub for human progress and technological innovation. The project seeks to create hyperconnected, cognitive cities designed for exceptional livability, economic growth, and environmental stewardship. As a destination attracting entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the world, NEOM is poised to become a key center for the incubation and commercialisation of cutting-edge technologies.
Securing this contract marks a significant milestone for Actatek, reinforcing its position as a disruptive leader in secure, sustainable technology. Actatek’s success in NEOM reflects the company’s technological excellence Banking on its current success, Actatek continues to develop new standards in the integrated security solutions industry.
Actatek’s journey toward this achievement has been supported by its participation in the CBIT Venture Builder Program at Nottingham Trent University. The NEOM contract highlights Actatek’s ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for large-scale, visionary projects, and it goes beyond access control to be a comprehensive all-in-one site management solution. This highlights how Actatek and Jakin ID continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the security and technology sectors.
